7 Questions Towards Commercial Success

The above model came out of a visual exercise. The objective was to assist clients in seeing how each piece in business is interrelated, especifically in the commercial area. As stated in the previous entry each piece of the puzzle has a specific objective. Today, I would like to give you a tour, so to speak, of this tool by the use of questions. Seven questions, that will lead towards the development of your commercial strategies. Depending on the quality of questions you ask, will be the quality of the answers you recieve. This is only the beginning: 1.- Leadership & Management: What is your commercial vision? 2.- Sales Model: Are you achieving the sales required to achieve your vision? Are you willing to innovate? 3.- Execution Team: Do those that execute have the profiles and competencies required for your sales model to be successful? 4.- Business Intelligence: Are you gathering and sharing your internal information in an efficient way? 5.- Market Intelligence: Are you gathering the information you consider relevant (regarding clients needs, market tendencies, competitors, etc) towards achieving your objective in an effective way? 6.- Leadership & Management: What is your primary objective in order to achieve your vision? (What are your priorities at this moment?) 7.- Leadership & Management: What are the resources you have available for this objective? Obviously, there are many more questions to ask. Starting with the development of strategies and action plans for the achievement of your vision and objectives. This will be the answer to two more questions: How do I allocate the resources available?, and Who will be responsable?
